Cricket and Sachin tendulkar are two synonymous terms in India. There are people who say they watch cricket because of Sachin and there are people who say that they watch Sachin because of cricket. This shows that Sachin has great respect for the game and it’s only his fans who give him a bigger status than the game.

When a match is being played in India and Sachin gets out, you can see a lot of people leaving the stadium because a majority of them come only to watch Sachin bat. If you are an Indian fan you might have heard the slogan. {If cricket is a religion, Sachin is god}. Have a look at Sachin’s career and the records he has set and you would know why he is given such a cult status in the country. Achieving heights that no one before has reached and many believe no one in future will match his stats, has made him an international legend. In a few years from now the legend will retire leaving his multitude of fans in tears but he will leave behind a legacy, which will be cherished for eternity.
