He was God, he was the master blaster…today he is just Sachin Tendulkar. Did age catch him or did the expectations of a billion, he is not the same anymore. Yet today is his birthday. He will try to savor the moment, with family, with friends, and with well wishers, and also probably with his critics (me included).

He used the words carefully, “dreams…shattered…world cup 2007″, and these words coming from Sachin Tendulkar make a big impact. But he will have another dream now: to be able to play world cup 2011. Will he make it there or won’t he is a different issue altogether…but as long as his dreams are for Team India, then God let his dreams come true!
