8 dos for BCCI now!

Posted in: My Corner

1. Kick Bhajji, Ajit Agarkar, Anil Kumble (poor thing he will be gone) out.

2. Take only two out of three so called seniors named Saurav, Rahul and Sachin. Ask them to field like Navjot Singh Sidhu who gave his heart to fielding at the end of his career.

3. Instead of the zone wise selection, get the best players based on their statistics.

4. Make it must for all International players to play First Class Matches, specially Sachin

5. Every person in the team should contribute in more than ONE specialized area that includes fielding (in more than one area), batting, wicketkeeping or bowling. Any person, including former captain Rahul Dravid, if doing only one job, better not be selected for the team.

6. Any player who misfields 10 runs (totally in different matches…whether consecutive or not) or drops ONE catch will not be allowed to play two consecutive first class matches.

7. Only the captain of any team (first class or International) should talk to the media, apart from the coach and the Manager.

8. Any player opting out of a tournament or a match will play the next tournament or without total match fees.

Anyways none of these will be done. And the fact that India has never won a major tournament outside Asia since 1985 only reflects the pathetic story. Yet there will be crores invested in this game, but with only fewer results. Maybe BCCI doesn’t want players to be fully professional.
