Well, I have been waiting for this, and so must be you. Not for this tie, but for any tie that would kickstart the world cup!

So, today at Sabina Park we have the hosts West Indies playing against Pakistan, at Sabina Park. How the pitch is going to behave is still a puzzle for all the concerned, including Brian Lara and Inzumam Ul Haq!

But if past records are to go by, in all the 9 world cup openers, the side chasing any score has won only twice. So that means any team should opt to bat first; but because it no one has the slightest idea of how the pitch is we have some great way to start a game - a mystery. But mystery is one word that anybody will associate with this ONE world cup.

There is no complete favorite to win, and as is with one day cricket, any team looks good, atleast on paper. But I reckon this match is going to be an absolutely wonderful way to start off!
Why is this a match to watch?

West Indies are a very inconsistent side, and Pakistan are good at that too…being inconsistent. But when they play Pakistan can revolved around a power packed performance from an individual, and West Indies has immense team spirit!
