The final list for the world cup was announced yesterday by the selectors. The chairman Dilip Vengsarkar, skipper Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell sat together to pick the squad for the upcoming tournament in the West Indies starting March 2007. Mohd. Kaif, Romesh Pawar, Dinesh Mongia, VRV Singh and VVS Laxman weren’t considered. Sehwag’s inclusion has come as a surprise to many but the selectors have restored faith in him.
