Kumble, Yuvraj and Pathan back

The Indian team was announced for the next two matches against the West Indies. As India completed the formality after beating the West Indies the BCCI selection committee Chairman read out the names of the players.

The changes that were made for the next two games was Anil Kumble, Irfan Pathan and Yuvraj Singh come in place of RP Singh and Joginder Sharma. Joginder Sharma did get a game to play at Cuttack but wasn’t impressive at all and RP Singh got only to bowl in the nets.

Considering the world cup, Yuvraj and Kumble’s inclusion doesn’t come as a surprise. Pathan will join the team for the last one-dayer at Baroda on 31st January as he’s playing a domestic match.

There was bad news for Virender Sehwag as he didn’t get a look in at all, may be the Lankan matches would bring in some luck.

It may be recalled that Yuvraj is back in the ODI squad after a gap of nearly three months. He injured his ankle during a practice session before the ICC Champions Trophy match against Australia in October.
