Attack at Cuttack
Posted in: Cricket Players & MatchesIndia take on the Windies in the second ODI at Cuttack tomorrow. The West Indies will be trying their level best to level the series and India will try to make it 2-0 so that it can give a chance to players who are in the team who didn’t get to play a game.
After Sundays win, it looks like India will be going with the same team; the Windies might make a change in their bowling line-up. Ganguly has been declared fit and will be opening with Gambhir again.
The wicket at Cuttack has seen not so high scoring games in the past as the bounce becomes unpredictable as the game progresses. A score around 300 should be good for the team batting first.
Sachin has scored quite a few runs here against the weaker teams but nevertheless he would like to score a ton and let his willow do all the talking.
The factor that might come into play will be the dew factor, as the Cuttack one-dayer is a day and night encounter. It would be most appropriate to win the toss and bat first. Bowlers will need to keep a good line and length to restrict batsmen from scoring.
More than the match it’s the cricket lovers who’ll be waiting with bated breath to see the match live on TV. I hope the high court resolves the problem today.
