Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan was arrested in Karachi on Wednesday by the police after an incident that prompted his wife to file charges against him.

The former wicketkeeper, who played 69 Tests and 219 one-day internationals, was detained at a police station in the up market Clifton area of Pakistan’s biggest city.

Moin’s wife alleged him of beating her after getting drunk on Tuesday night. Later Moin was released on bail by a judicial court but his wife Tasleem was adamant on withdrawing charges against him.
